  • The HistoWeb is a subset of the larger collection of medical educational resources from the University of Kansas Medical Center server called Pulse.

  • Why should physicians study histology? Click Here

  • "High-power microscopy is low-power histology." In the lab, a common mistake to "zoom" right into every tissue. Make sure you spend time with your low-power objectives ... this strategy will really pay off during the exams for the students in the Cell and Tissue biology course.

  • Take advantage of the expanded views of these images. They are larger and provide more detail.

  • Students in the Cell and Tissue Biology course should look at the HistoWeb before and after the lab. A digital image can never replace the microscope.

  • Look for learning tips at the beginning of each lesson.

  • The button will take you to the main HistoWeb page.

  • The button in each lesson will link you to Dr. Fishback's Pathology Website for that respective lesson. First year medical students taking Cell and Tissue Biology are NOT responsible for any of the material from the pathology pages. You will probably find them helpful and interesting.
