Slide 6 Bone Marrow Smear
The pale, grey cells without nuclei are red blood cells. The
darker ones are white blood cells in a variety of stages of development. The
dark nuclei are of variable shape and cytoplasm is lighter colored. Note that
in a later excercise (Blood and Bone Marrow), you will learn to identify the
individual types of white blood cells.
